NBA vs. NFL This blog is based off of " The Believing Game" I compared two separate sports and I have given supporting ideas as to why one vs the other is America's sport. Enjoy! |
In the NBA the average season is eighty two games long. Fans that watch the NBA are the most dedicated and they continue to be entertained by the fantastic sport for almost eight months out of the year. The NBA sells out arenas each and every night with teams in each of the 50 states. Additionally, the NBA has multiple nights each week that many people tune in on a variety of tv stations to watch teams in the league play. The NBA finals are one of the most exciting events in the country and people tune in for a seven game series contently watching to see who will be crowned the winner. It is clear that the NBA is home of America's sport because they have a longer season and their fanbase watches the league on a nightly basis.
Both of the paragraphs are well written and demonstrate a good argument. When reading this, I think you believe that football is America's sport. I think this because the information in the first paragraph seems more passionate and meaningful than the information in the second. The facts about the NBA seem too forced and they seem like they were just found online and not what an actual person truly believes about the league. Overall, I thought you did a great job with both paragraphs but you believe football is America's sport.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first read through the paragraphs, I was leaning towards the NBA paragraph being the one you believed was America's team. The more I read them, I started switching sides. The NFL paragraph had more passion. It seemed like something you actually believed in and wasn't something you just found facts about. The line "they basically own a day of the week, which is Sunday" was the line that officially made me think you believe the NFL is America's team.
